For Chambers of Commerce

Every ribbon cut.
Every member in the frame.

You are the chamber's events director, or the membership manager who also runs events, and your calendar is a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Business After Hours at a member's showroom on Thursday, the business expo in the spring and the annual dinner with the awards in the fall. Every one of them is a promise to a member: show up, and you will be seen. The proof is photos, and the photos are scattered across thirty phones: the owner's family, the ambassadors in their blazers, the council member who stopped by, the new members who came to meet someone. One QR code at the sign-in table brings them into a private gallery the chamber reviews, and the host business gets the photos it will post the next morning.

Why chamber of commerce events work better on Picsui

Written for the person hosting this one, and checked against what the product actually does.

A directory members choose to join

Most members come to a mixer for the one introduction they would not get otherwise. With the attendee networking directory, people opt in with a name, a line about their business and a few interests, browse who else is in the room, and say yes to the people they want to meet. Contact details are shared only when both sides say yes, and the chamber sees counts, not who matched. Profiles are removed shortly after the event.

RSVPs and sign-in without the clipboard

Import the member list, send personal invite links, and see who said yes and how many they are bringing. At the door, an ambassador checks people in from a phone and sees who is still expected, which gives you a real attendance number for the host business and the board instead of a count of unclaimed name tags at the end of the night.

Member sponsors, counted on partner events

Chamber events run on member sponsorship: the bank that covers the bar, the print shop that makes the banners. If an event company runs your event through the Picsui Partner Program, the gallery, the upload page and the name form show a 'Sponsored by' link under the logo, the slideshow shows the sponsor's name, and taps on the link are counted per event, with bots left out. A plain Event Pass has no sponsor link.

No app. No account. One scan.

Guests point their camera at a QR code and are uploading in seconds. Nobody installs anything, nobody creates a login, and the grandparents can do it as easily as the teenagers.

Guest list and RSVPs in the same place

Import your list, send each guest a personal invite link, collect replies and party sizes, and check people in at the door from your phone.

Door check-in from your phone

See who has arrived, who is still expected, and how many are in each party — without a clipboard at the entrance.

Attendee networking

Attendees opt in to a directory, exchange contact details and book meetings from the event page while the event runs. Profiles are removed after it ends.

Live photo wall on any screen

Open the slideshow on a TV, projector or laptop and new uploads appear as they arrive. Grid and collage layouts, transition presets, and a phone remote to control it from across the room.

Full-resolution downloads

Download any photo, or the whole event as one archive, at original quality. What guests uploaded is what you keep — no compression, no watermark on paid events.

How it works

Set up in a minute. Collect for the whole event.

01

Create the event from the chamber's account, import the RSVP list, and turn on host review and the networking directory.

02

Print the QR code on the sign-in table tent, the name tag sheet and the ribbon cutting easel, and include it in the reminder email.

03

Ambassadors check members in from a phone. Guests upload the ribbon, the remarks and the room, and opt in to the directory if they want introductions.

04

Approve the queue, send the host business its photos the next morning, and keep the gallery link for the newsletter and the board report.

Live demo — no signup

Try uploading as a guest.

Scan this with your phone the way a guest at your event would. Choose a sample photo and upload it from your browser, then open the demo gallery to see it land. In this public demo, photos appear at once and videos wait for a person to approve them; at your own event, you decide.

  1. Scan the code with your phone camera — it opens straight in the browser.
  2. Upload a sample photo. Look for the upload confirmation so you know it reached the host.

Use a sample you are comfortable sharing with Picsui. Please keep personal or sensitive photos out of the demo.

This is the same kind of code your guests scan at your event.

Getting the most from chamber of commerce events

At a ribbon cutting the moment is short and everyone stands in the same spot, so the code has to be in people's hands before the scissors come out. Have an ambassador hold a printed card at the edge of the crowd and say one sentence while the owner is lining up the family: scan this and send us what you take. Ask people to keep shooting after the cut, because the hugs, the first customer through the door and the owner reading the framed certificate are what the business will actually post. The chamber's own photographer still gets the official line-up. The gallery gets everything around it.

Business After Hours is a networking event that happens to have photos, so set it up that way. Put the QR code on the name tag table and at the bar, where people wait with nothing to do, and turn on the networking directory so the code leads to introductions as well as uploads. Members who come alone can see who else is there and ask to meet. The host business wants a picture of its space full of people, so ask two ambassadors to take wide shots in the first hour, before the room thins out. Send the host those photos first. They paid for the food.

Plan the annual dinner's photos around the awards and the sponsor report. Show the code on the screens before dinner and again before the first award, and with host review on, let a staff member clear the queue between categories. The morning after, download the originals of each winner and each sponsor table and send them with the thank-you email. If your chamber works with an event company in the Picsui Partner Program, ask about putting the presenting sponsor's link on the gallery, because a count of guests who tapped through is a concrete number to bring to next year's sponsorship conversation.

Common questions about chamber of commerce events

Can members find each other at a mixer without trading business cards?

Yes, if they choose to. Turn on the attendee networking directory and anyone who scans the code can create a short profile with their name, what their business does and a few interests, then browse the others who opted in. When two people both say yes, they see each other's contact details. Nobody is listed unless they opt in, the chamber only sees how many joined and how many pairs matched, and profiles are cleared shortly after the event, so it helps introductions without becoming a list anyone can copy.

Can the member who sponsored the evening get a link on the gallery?

Only on a partner event. When an event company or agency in the Picsui Partner Program runs the event, it can add a 'Sponsored by' link under the logo on the gallery, the guest upload page and the name form, and the sponsor's name appears under the logo on the live slideshow. Taps on that link are counted per event, with link-preview bots and crawlers excluded, so you can report how many guests tapped through. An Event Pass on its own removes Powered by Picsui from guest pages but does not add sponsor links, client logos or white label.

Who can see the photos from our events?

Only the people you send the link to. The gallery is private by default, reachable by its link or code, and kept out of search engines. With host review on, uploads wait until a staff member approves them, which is useful when a mixer runs late or an elected official is in the room. Members download approved photos at full resolution without an account, so the business that hosted the ribbon cutting can post its own photos the same day, and you choose whether the link goes to everyone who attended or only to the host.

Can one gallery cover the expo, with exhibitors and visitors both uploading?

Yes. The same QR code works for exhibitors at their tables and visitors walking the aisles, so print it on the floor map and the exhibitor packet, and put a card on every table. Exhibitors get photos of their own booth busy, which is the thing they renew for, and the chamber gets the whole floor in one place for the newsletter. If any booth runs a photo booth on a Windows or Mac laptop, its booth link can feed photos straight into the same gallery as they are taken.

How does pricing work for a chamber that runs events every month?

Each event is its own Event Pass, $29 paid once, with no subscription and no per-member fee. A pass includes unlimited uploads under a 25 GB fair-use bound, RSVPs and door check-in, the networking directory, host review, full-resolution downloads and 365 days of hosting. A small ribbon cutting can run on the Free Preview, which shows the first 60 uploads as watermarked previews with Powered by Picsui and locks the gallery 7 days after the event. Sponsor links and white label come only on partner events.
