She made every brunch happen.
This one is for her.
You are organising Mother's Day: brunch at your house with mum, grandma and the kids, a table for twelve at her favourite restaurant, or the church brunch after the morning service. In the US, Canada and Australia that is the second Sunday in May, in the UK and Ireland it is Mothering Sunday in Lent, and in Mexico it is 10 May whatever the weekday. The day is short and full: flowers at the door, the cards the kids drew, three generations squeezed into one photo, and a toast someone has been rehearsing. The best shots end up on other people's phones. One QR code gathers them, and the finished gallery goes to the woman it is about.
One-time. No account needed to buy — about a minute.
The moments guests actually photograph at Mother's Day brunches
Why Mother's Day brunches work better on Picsui
Written for the person hosting this one, and checked against what the product actually does.
Give her the gallery as the gift
Name your mother, or your grandmother, as the gallery's recipient and choose a date. When it arrives she gets a private link by email with every photo, card and message from the day, and she can browse and download it all without making an account. For a mum who already has enough mugs, a whole day seen from every seat at the table lands differently.
The children who could not come home
There is nearly always someone missing: a son working abroad, a daughter at university, a grandchild on the other side of the country. Send them the upload link and they record a video message of up to 30 seconds or a voice note of up to 60 seconds for her. It sits in the gallery beside the brunch photos, so she hears from everyone in one place.
A guestbook written to her
Replace the usual prompt with a question for the family, such as ‘What is something Mum taught you without meaning to?’ Every guest types an answer from the same page they upload photos to, and the answers stay with the gallery. For grandmothers especially, a page of short messages from the grandchildren is the part they reread.
No app. No account. One scan.
Guests point their camera at a QR code and are uploading in seconds. Nobody installs anything, nobody creates a login, and the grandparents can do it as easily as the teenagers.
Deliver the finished gallery to someone else
Name a recipient and the completed gallery is emailed to them on a private link on the date you choose. They browse and download without an account.
Video messages, recorded on the spot
A 30-second video toast recorded in the browser, no editing, no re-uploading. The guest who would never write in a book will happily talk to a phone.
Voice messages
Guests record up to 60 seconds of audio right from the upload page: a blessing, a toast, a story. It is saved next to the photos in the same gallery.
A guestbook with your own question
Replace the generic prompt with one that fits the day. Written messages are collected alongside the photos and kept with the gallery.
Full-resolution downloads
Download any photo, or the whole event as one archive, at original quality. What guests uploaded is what you keep — no compression, no watermark on paid events.
How it works
Set up in a minute. Collect for the whole event.
Create the event a week before, set the guestbook question, and name Mum or Grandma as the recipient with the date the gallery should reach her.
Send the upload link to relatives who cannot come so their voice and video messages are waiting, and put the QR code on the brunch table.
Everyone at the table uploads photos and writes in the guestbook during brunch, while the kids hand over their cards.
The finished gallery arrives in her inbox on the date you chose, and the family downloads the originals for themselves.
Try uploading as a guest.
Scan this with your phone the way a guest at your event would. Choose a sample photo and upload it from your browser, then open the demo gallery to see it land. In this public demo, photos appear at once and videos wait for a person to approve them; at your own event, you decide.
- Scan the code with your phone camera — it opens straight in the browser.
- Upload a sample photo. Look for the upload confirmation so you know it reached the host.
Use a sample you are comfortable sharing with Picsui. Please keep personal or sensitive photos out of the demo.

This is the same kind of code your guests scan at your event.
Getting the most from Mother's Day brunches
Collect the messages before the day, not during it. The relatives who cannot come are the ones whose words mean the most, and they need a few days' notice. Send the upload link the weekend before with one clear request: a short video or a voice note for Mum, and a photo of her with you if you have one. Ask them to keep it secret. When the gallery reaches her, she finds messages from her sister in Manila or her grandson in Edinburgh waiting alongside the brunch photos, and nobody had to set up a video call over the pancakes.
Get the three-generation photo early, before the food arrives and before the youngest children melt down. Ask whoever has the best phone to take it outside in natural light, then ask a second person to take one from the other side so everyone has a version where their eyes are open. At a restaurant, a server will usually take one if you ask, and a guest can upload it straight away. At a church brunch, put the QR code on every table, and a sign at the entrance so families can add photos of their own mothers to the shared gallery.
Mother's Day is not the same date everywhere, and in mixed families that is worth knowing. In the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand it is the second Sunday in May. In the UK and Ireland it is Mothering Sunday, the fourth Sunday of Lent, so usually in March. Mexico and much of Central America mark 10 May on whatever weekday it falls. If your family straddles two countries, you can host one brunch and set the gallery to arrive on the other date, so she gets two Mother's Days, which she has earned.
Common questions about Mother's Day brunches
Can the gallery be sent to my mother as a gift?
Yes. In the event settings, name her as the recipient, add her email address and pick the date. On that date she receives a private link to the finished gallery, with every photo, video, voice message and guestbook entry from the day. She can browse it on her phone or computer and download anything she wants, with no account and nothing to install, which suits grandmothers who are not keen on new apps.
Can relatives who are not at the brunch add messages?
Yes. Send them the upload link before the day and they can add photos, a voice message of up to 60 seconds, or a video message of up to 30 seconds from anywhere in the world, in a phone browser. Their messages land in the same gallery as the brunch photos. If you want it to be a surprise, simply do not show the gallery to Mum until the recipient email reaches her.
Can Grandma watch the brunch live if she cannot travel?
Yes. A private live stream is included with the Event Pass: up to 90 minutes for up to 100 viewers, on a link that opens in a phone or computer browser, with sound. Prop a phone at the end of the table during the toast and the card-giving, and a grandmother in a care home or another city sees and hears it as it happens. Send her the link the day before with the time you plan to start.
Does it work for a church or restaurant brunch with lots of families?
Yes. A church or a restaurant can run one event for the whole brunch with the QR code on every table, so each family adds their own photos to one shared gallery. Turn on host review if you would like a volunteer to check uploads before others see them. Families can then download their own photos at full resolution, and the church has the whole morning for its newsletter.
Who can see our family photos?
Only the people you share the link or code with, and the recipient you name. The gallery is private by default, never listed anywhere, and guest pages are blocked from search engines. You can turn on host review so photos wait for your approval before anyone else sees them, and you can close the gallery to new uploads whenever you like while it stays online for the family.
What does a Mother's Day gallery cost?
You can start on the Free Preview, which includes QR uploads, the live slideshow and a guestbook preview, shows the first 60 uploads, and locks the gallery 7 days after the event. An Event Pass is $39, paid once with no subscription, and gives unlimited uploads, full-resolution originals and 365 days of hosting, so the gallery she receives is still there next Mother's Day.
