The old way was a wall — and it showed up at the worst moment

Picsui's free preview used to stop at 25 photos. Not softly: the 26th guest who tried to add a photo got an error. At a real wedding or party, that is the worst possible moment to say "no" — mid-celebration, to a guest who was excited to share, standing next to the couple who set the whole thing up.

It made the app look broken, and it made the host look bad. So we rebuilt how the free preview works from the ground up.

The new way: capture everything, show 25, hold the rest

Here is the whole idea in one sentence: every photo your guests add is captured and kept safe — your first 25 show for free, and everything past that waits behind a one-tap unlock.

Nothing is thrown away. Nobody is turned away. A guest who adds the 26th, 60th, or 200th photo sees exactly what the first guest saw: a friendly "thanks, it's uploaded" — no error, no dead end. The photos beyond your free 25 are simply held, shown blurred with a gentle "unlock to reveal" prompt, until you decide to open them.

What your guests see: never an error

This is the part that matters most on the day itself. Guests keep scanning the QR code and adding photos and videos for as long as the party runs. They never learn there was a limit, they never see a wall, and they never have to ask the host why their upload "failed." The experience stays smooth from the first photo to the last.

What you see: the memories, waiting for you

In your gallery, the first 25 photos display in full. Below them, you'll see the rest as blurred tiles with a simple count — "14 more photos are waiting" — and a button to unlock them. It is not a threat; it is a reminder that your guests kept the memories coming and they are all sitting there, safe, ready whenever you are.

We'll also email you when your event fills its free preview, so you know the extra photos are there even if you're not looking at the gallery.

One unlock reveals everything, instantly

When you buy an Event Pass, every locked photo opens at once — full resolution, watermark removed, right in the gallery you already have. There is nothing to re-upload and nothing to migrate. The photos were always yours; unlocking just takes the blur off. The honest fine print

We would rather over-explain than surprise you, so here are the two clocks that run on a free preview, because they are different lengths:

• The gallery stays open for 7 days after your event, then it locks until you unlock the event.
• Photos are kept for 30 days from the moment they're uploaded, then permanently deleted.

So if your event is real — not a test — buy a pass before the day, or at least within that window, so nothing you want to keep slips away. On the free preview you also get 5 full-resolution original downloads; the rest are watermarked previews.

Why we did it this way

A photo from your event is worth something the moment it exists. Blocking it protects nobody — it just loses the memory and irritates the guest.
