The Story
The Metro Tech Conference team had tried disposable cameras at previous events and even built a custom photo upload form — but participation was always low. For their 2025 edition, they needed a solution that matched their brand, required zero friction from attendees, and gave the marketing team usable content after the event.
They set up Picsui with custom branding — their logo, brand colors, and a welcome message — so the upload experience felt like part of the event, not a third-party tool. QR code posters were placed at registration, in each breakout room, and on the main stage backdrop. Speakers even encouraged attendees to share photos of their favorite slides.
Over two days, 500 attendees contributed more than 3,200 photos. The marketing team used the gallery's built-in email collection to capture 340 opt-in email addresses from attendees who wanted access to the full gallery. AI moderation automatically flagged 12 uploads that contained sensitive whiteboard content, keeping the public gallery clean without any manual review.
“The branded gallery looked like we built it ourselves. We collected more user-generated content in two days than our social media team produces in a quarter. The email capture alone justified the cost.”
